I paid the full amount for use of one of the cottages. The owner informed me that he would be on a cruise during my stay, however he would get his friend to assist me. I sent several emails to him, seeking contact details for this friend so that I could access the cottage, over the course of a couple of weeks, but never heard anything back from him. This was after he recieved my full payment of course.
I ended up cancelling the accommodation and I requested a refund as I did not use the cottage, but the owner refused to refund me any of my money.
The deposit was part of the payment, and so he was entitled to keep that, but he refused to refund any of my moneys. |
