The house had not been cleaned when we checked in, and was not cleaned that evening despite two calls to the owner. The linens were soiled and there were no clean sheets or towels available. We were not even able to wash them ourselves, as the washer was broken. The next day she agreed to a refund, but never sent it. We've won a judgement against her in small claims court, but she has yet to provide the refund (our third hearing is pending). She actually commented in court that her contract didn't require her to provide the house to us in a clean condition! She now claims to have no money and no income, despite continuing to rent the house. This owner requires full payment in advance--don't do it! |
