Watch out for the owner on this one! He started out being really friendly. We had a nice conversation about the island when I contacted him about this property. He said how much I would enjoy staying there and how nice it was to be able to bring our dog. From our conversation, it was VERY clear that I wanted to book the property. He said he would go ahead and block out the dates we wanted when he got back to his computer. I even sent a follow-up email saying how we were looking so forward to staying there. He sent one back with more information with websites about the island. I sent another email letting him know that I had the deposit to send to him today. THEN, I got another email from him saying that he had given the property away to someone else who had contacted him AFTER me, because they paid their deposit by Paypal. How cut throat! Is he that desperate to get the $100 deposit? I called him to talk with him and see what in the world happened and he ended up hanging up on me. His conduct is no way to do business. What happened to the good ole days of someone's word being good enough to count on? Can you say Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?! BEWARE! It tales a lot of time and effort to research properties. Oce you've found one that fits it is very frustrating to have wasted your time. |
