The dock is not accessible unless you want to risk injury to yourself. Since the photo on the website was taken some of the hillside had washed away and the going was rock, dirt and very steep. The backyard itself is extremely steep but is described as a "moderately, easy walk". Taking walks on the road was on the website but it was hazardous to our health. Tight curving road with no berm. The basement was described as unfinished. I have an unfinished basement in my house but it does not have uncovered insulation hanging from the ceiling, sheets/tarps hanging on the walls, and furniture I wouldn't even sit on let alone sleep on. Firewood was to be provided. It was, at the top of the steep yard and pieces of a trunk that had not been split. Toilet paper and paper towels were on the list of amenities. We found three rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 5 days. One roll of paper towels. When I called Tamara she blamed it on the cleaning person and said it's not that far for us to drive and buy some. When Tamara was informed, before my agreeing to rent, that we were all over 45, loved listening to loud music and wanted to put the sound system out on the deck. I was told that the neighbors weren't very close. The neighbors were close enough to talk to them from the deck. Tamara agreed to reimbursement me for the paper products and all of $100 for my dissatisfaction with the house/grounds. When I received my deposit it included a letter with explaining multiple deductions; not emptying trash cans (the one in the bathroom) $15, living room furniture moved (we moved the coffee table and thought we had it in the EXACT original spot - obviously not) $10, dishwasher not started $10, excessive dog hair $25. I had already paid a $125 cleaning fee and additional money for 2 doge. Nothing on the signed contract referred to any of these possible charges. |
