Our family was mislead from this company in the beginning. The website says they have homes 6 minutes from the Disney entrance. What it doesn't tell you is that they also have homes 25 minutes from the park entrance. (We were 25 minutes away.) The woman I spoke with said they were within walking distance to the shuttle! I was so happy, we thought about not renting a car. Thank god we diid. We spent a lot of time commuting. Our fliight was delayed, so we didn't get in 'till late. We had about three or four directions from the company and I mapquested the home. We got lost and ended up in the slum with bars on the windows and people on the side of the road with cases of beer. We could not contact anyone in the company, because they were closed. No emergency #! After driving around for hours, we stopped a tow truck driver, and he led us to the entrance. The name of the community was not lit up, or very clearly marked at night at all. ( We were just blocks from the barred windows.) After getting in the home was nice and clean. The woman on the phone told me she would't turn the heat on the pool untill I get there if it were her. BIG MISTAKE!!! We got ther on December30th. I called on the 31st, they could't make it, the next day was New Years. We did not get the pool heat turned on untill 1-2-08. It takes 24 hours to heat up and we left on the 5th what a waste of time! When we got home one night late from the park, the house was 60 degrees. The heat was not on and there was a cover on the thermastat. Agaian there was no emergency # to call! What a nightmare!!! When we left, we left a power cord for our camera on the cvounter. We called several times to see if they could get it and send it back. After weeks of calling with no response, they finnally e-mailed me they could not locate it! I would not recomend renting from Prestige Vacations Direct to anyone. We had a great time at Disney and will stay in the park next time and [pay the extra expense! |
