Response To This Complaint:

The house was NOT filthy. There was a three person cleaning crew in the day that these tenants arrived, that spent over 6 hours a piece cleaning. Because it had been a while since it had been done, we had one person that spent the ENTIRE day in the kitchen. We do have a couple of things that are only cleaned after every other tenant (ceiling fans, outside facing windows, etc), but the entire house is cleaned thoroughly after each tenant. In addition, the bedding, which this person tried to imply were not even changed, were in fact cleaned and ironed during this cleaning period. There was garbage piled outside in back patio area, There was garbage in the area designated for garbage on the side of the home. Garbage collection is only twice a week, and the previous tenants did not remove the garbage. We took the garbage out (including over five lawn garbage bags of garbage that these tenants left in the kitchen area) on the next available date. The home had grass in the backyard when it was listed. The grass has since been removed, as we are in the middle of a severe drought, and the entire Las Vegas Valley Water District has asked that private homes change to zero scaping. We are in the middle of a desert, and, as such, only get about two inches of water a year. As you can imagine, during a drought, we get even less. We are trying to be conscious of the environment. We have not updated the pictures since doing this change in landscaping, but will do so soon. I am sure that there was a cockroach, as desert cockroaches come inside during the summer on occasion, particularly when doors are left open for any length of time. We spray for these bugs every month (the last time we sprayed was 3 weeks ago), but the fact is they do come inside on occasion and all we can do is either kill them or wait for them to die, as desert cockroaches cannot survive the lower temperatures inside a home. I am a businessman, dealing mainly in legal documents. I both serve and am served documents on a regular basis. I normally do not receive them at this home, and I am not sure who sent anything there instead of my office. This process service was not related to the vacation rental, and I am sorry if these individuals were inconvenienced. This lady has not requested any kind of "remedy". I don't know if she lost money in Vegas or just wanted to complain. But I have backup emails saying she was 'NOT COMPLAINING'. Also it seemed strange to me that she did not say ONE WORD of complaint until the last night she was there at 10 pm. Sjounds to me like she was just complaining to get a remedy. She probably has complained to companies regularly about trivial stuff to see if they would just say "ok" and send her an "adjustment". I have now wasted valuable time answering this BS complaint and will no longer be willing to discuss any adjustment.
