We stayed at Homeaway Property #22065 in Puerto Rico at the beginning of June. The property manager, Lizzie, was 45 minutes late with the keys when we arrived. By the 2nd day we realized the "pink room" has a serious bed bug problem. When we complained to Lizzie via email, she came by the property with no warning the following day. Though 2 of the guests were covered in bed bug bites (we have photo evidence), she denied there being any problem and blamed the ocean bugs (though none of the other guests had bites, and when the bitten guests moved to sleep in the living room there were no more bite issues). Two mattresses were also covered in urine stains. She is refusing to give back part of the deposit in part because the house was "messy" when she stopped by unannounced in the middle of the week and also
claims the house was left unclean although we cleaned thoroughly and even did extra laundry to help her out. |
