Aurora House, Orcas Island, misleading
Their website used to have a misleading picture, not taken from the property, that gave you the impression that you were next door to a beach and that it was " . . easy to launch kayaks from . . ." This was the primary reason we rented the house. We complained that both the picture and the discription were misleading. The owners have said they did nothing wrong and refused us a reasonable partial refund. They have since dropped the picture and discription. The house is fine but the owners were uncooperative.

The description of the house we rented should have went like this: If you like a home where you are constantly being watched...this is your home. If you want a vacation where the owner still reserves the right to use the amenities while you are staying there, might I add at any time of day...
