I would like to complain about the owners of the Baja Breeze townhome. The owners were very rude to my party and myself. During our stay, we sat in their chairs like you would normally sit in chairs. However, my party has been accused of scratching their floors and we have been denied our deposit. We do not believe that we scratched their floors and if their floors were scratched during our stay, the scratches were caused by us simply sitting in their chairs which I do not feel we should be held accountable for. We were not informed of the damages until the keys were returned. To make it even worse, the person who reported the damages to the owners, the cleaning person, also happens to be their sister-in-law. Also, there was police activity and a drug bust across the street from the townhome on our first night there. Future renters should be ready to fork over their deposits as the owners are looking for anything to keep your money. You will also be watched by the neighbors during your stay there as we were informed by the owners that we were being watched during our time there. We are not pleased with our experience and would not recommend this vacation rental to anybody!
Representing herself as a professional realtor from Maryland, Cynthia Nagel worked on a real estate rental transaction with us. She lied about the details around the transaction, and then when there were problems she created afterwards, she attempted to not pay for them and cover them up. Dishonest and do not deal with her!!!!
We requested a 2 bedroom. We were told that one was available and we double checked the pics online before we booked it. We arrived to find that they had us in a 3 bedroom (but closed off the 3rd bedroom) and the place was gross. We scrubbed mildew/mold off the wall, the bathrooms smelled, the kitchen cabinets were sticky, the whole place smelled musty. During our stay the door to the balcony broke and we weren't able to access it. We called but it was never fixed. The whole place is old, run down, smelly, and dirty. Now we've contacted the owner to get our damage deposit back and haven't heard a word.
