The property is almost uninhabitable. So many things wong but here are just a few.
1) Broken air conditioner - house was over 85 degrees inside
2) Hundreds of flies swarming inside the house
3) Wet sheets on the beds - that we had to rewash and dry
4) wet towels folded and placed in linen closet - that we had to rewash and dry
5) dirty and used wet towels and washcloths crammed inside cabinets. We did not find these until second day when the fumes of mold overtook us.
6) No batteries in the TV remotes
7) dirty sheets on the beds - that we had to wash and dry before we could sleep first night
8) Broken glass by backdoor
9) A swamp (seriously) instead of a lake
10) A boat ramp that looks like something from a horror movie and no access to lake - there is no way to even get a boat in or out of it.
11) Filthy gas grill that did not work. We had to clean it to even use it as a charcoal grill.
12) black mold in bathrooms and on ALL the ceiling vents
13) Broken outdoor chairs that had ropes as slates to sit on - no cushions
14) Pool had no cleaner and was cloudy and unswimmable - it also had peeling pain chips all in pool
15) Broken dishwasher that flooded the kitchen floor every time we used it
We have a list of many more and pictures to back everyone of them up. Unfortunately we were trapped and had no choice but to stay. Sadly we paid with check or else we would have contacted credit card immediately and vacated the property. The next morning many of us started getting sore throats, headaches, and stuffy heads. In just out little family of 5, four of us had sore throats.
We met the neighbor next door who informed us that everyone who stays at this place states the same thing. He said the neighbors are trying to get rid of him because he won't clean up his property. That man was kind enough to let our kids jump off his dock and actually swim in the lake for this property has NO LAKE ACCESS. He false advertised this location as on the lake. It is not nor is there anyway to access the lake from his property. If we had known this we would not have rented. With 10 kids we needed the lake.
This man needs to be stopped. He is ripping people off. He is a con man. We paid over $2000 for 3 nights and $200 for a cleaning fee yet this house was filthy upon our arrival. We had to wash the sheets and towels to even be able to sleep that night.
