Not a rental home complaint, but avoid Adventure on 2 Wheels
I highly recommend not renting from this place. Their mopeds are old and the speedometers don't work. But my warning to others is based on the details below:
The Ala Moana shop is a tiny white shed next to Alana Doubletree Waikiki.
I rented a moped for 2 days at $30/day and it was due to be returned at 3:45pm. I ended up running late (I was caught in Honolulu Saturday traffic) and got there at about 4:30. Non-payment of Rent
Fun in the Sun has managed our vacation rental property for the past 3 years. They rented it out for 7 weeks this year so far and have not sent us any of the rental money they received for using our property. They owe us between $7000 - $10000. They no longer answer our emails or phone calls. I know of several other owners in our building and their story is identical.

Paris disaster
parisrentaparts.com Never use this company. We had the worst experience you could imagine with them. They contacted us the day before we were flying to France to say there was a problem with the apartment we had rented in the Mariah. All they could offer us was an apartment far removed from central Paris. When we didn't want to accept this they came up with a studio apartment on Ile de la Cite that was half the size of the original, none of the amenities. Refund
I sent 8500.00 for a week rental 90 days in advance. The day before we left the agent, Erik preset told menthe house was unavailable. We made other arrangements. He refunded2100.00(that was on a credit card). He owes me 6300$ and keeps telling me he mailed the check. That was 90 days ago.

Security deposit on house rental
The property was nice, as expected, for the fee we agreed to pay.
Unfortunately we had to bring many issues of concern to the owner during our stay. Walls near a light switch were very hot to the touch, indicating a potential fire hazard, hot tub not heating up properly, hot tub draining twice until it could not be used for the last few days of the holiday. Security Deposit being withheld
After a stay from March 21 to March 25, and a property inspection prior and post visit, the on site manager Craig that works for Nelly Biche De Bere asked for my banking information so that the deposit of $1000.00 would be deposited the next day. This was emailed and confirmed by Nelly Biche De Bere and she also sent me an email that indicated on April 9th that she was sending our money back that day. Illegitimate Damage Fee
The short story is that Vacasa is trying to charge us a $250 damage fee for a stain in the carpet that we honestly did not cause. We did not notice this particular stain while we were at the property. It could have been there before or it was caused after we left. We just know that we did not cause any damage.

We rented a home located at 226 Colton Street, Newport Beach, CA 92663 from 12/31/11 - 1/3/12.
I will first preface this by saying that my wife and I own and manage 4 furnished rentals here in Scottsdale. We have been staying in furnished rentals for about the last 8 years. This was BY FAR the worst rental experience that I have ever had.

bali villa scam
Bali-Experience is the website i booked Villa Eden with. They asked us to transfer 50% of the money to them and its been 3 weeks now and they have still not transfered it to the villa. Villa Eden wants to cancel the booking bacuse Bali-Experience is not answering they phonecalls. the contact at Bali-Experience is Ketut Sukarta, he claims he is sick and that the owner of the company resigned and has that she has the money. Not accurately represented, not well maintained
Our group of 18 recently stayed at this rental home, July 31st through August 7th 2011. We are a group of friends that have been vacationing together for over twenty years, renting vacation homes in different parts of the country. This home is in a great location, the lake is beautiful and we really enjoyed our time on the lake. We rented two boats from Iguana Water Sports which was nearby. We highly recommend them if you are looking to rent boats or wave runners. Their equipment is fantastic and their customer service is even better!
