Terrible customer service
This rental property in Emerald Isle, North Carolina does not look like the advertised pictures. The house is in some serious need of TLC. During our recent stay we had a major issue that ruined our vacation. Shorewood Real Estate did not resolve the problem during our stay. They promised to fix the problem and promised us a discount. Shorewood Real Estate did not follow through on any of their promisses. We couldn't have been more unhappy with Shorewood Real Estates lack of customer service.

internet fraud
Sent the man$1400.00. He sent me a contract from the web site. Stayed in contact the whhole time. When he wanted me to send the 2nd check to the UK.....I became suspicious...researched the owner at the address, spoke with him and found out that people had been showing up to rent his house all summer. Too much money to jusrt give away. I thought the business was legit.

Falling apart
Our family stayed at the above mentioned property from March 7 to March 14, 2009. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tucson we wanted to make you aware of the problems we had with the home and its owner. I should mention we have stayed at several vacation rental homes in the past and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the owners and rental agents.
Ill start with the major items not working. The Dishwasher was literally falling apart: the front panel fell off and the control panel was hanging by its wires. My wife called the service number and eventually...

This cabin is listed as exquisite, reality is fair AT BEST...beware of dishonest owner as he will hold your deposit hostage upon departure. I have rented from VRBO over 12 times in the last year and never had a problem until I made the mistake of renting from this owner.
Do yourself a favor and rent another property in Mt Hood / Goverment Camp, this owner is dishonest!

got scamed in private housing
i paid $400 bond and paid 3months rent and i have no water in the tank the septic tank is blocked and theres poo all over the yard and it comes out the toilet and sinks poo that is,there's rats all in the house and bedrooms,there's fleas and mites in the bedrooms the floorboards have 2cm cracks between them,ther's no heating in the house and its only ment to be a holiday rental the counsel wont allow permanent tenants and they told me i could be here for 2 years we agreed

Terms and Conditions and Extra Charges
We booked the lodge for one month after negotiating the price and agreed to send the 475 euro deposit. When they recieved the deposit they sent the terms and conditions with many hidden extra costs for the Lodge. We tried to negotiate the issues but were not able to come to an agreement. So as the terms and conditions were sent on a later stage and the deposit was provided in confidence we asked them to refund the money. They would not.
